**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Join a global leader in innovation and sustainability! Honeywell is hiring a **Health and Safety Engineer** to support our Solstice manufacturing facilities in **Baton Rouge** or **Geismar, Louisiana** .

In this hands-on role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams and plant leadership to drive a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture while ensuring compliance with internal and external safety standards.

You’ll conduct audits, lead training initiatives, and act as a coach and influencer—helping frontline employees and supervisors build a safe, efficient workplace.

This is an **onsite** role reporting directly to the Site HSE Manager.

In October 2024, Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Solstice Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.

+ Lead and support HSE programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

+ Conduct regular HSE audits and field assessments

+ Assist in developing and delivering employee HSE training

+ Champion Honeywell's Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) Program

+ Drive continuous improvement using tools like Gemba walks, standard work, and visual management

+ Promote positive safety behaviors and hazard recognition at all levels of the plant

+ Collaborate with teams to embed HSE into daily operations

**YOU MUST HAVE**

+ Minimum 1 year of Health and Safety experience

+ High School Diploma or GED

**WE VALUE**

+ Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field

+ Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, RSO)

+ Experience in manufacturing or chemical processing environments

+ Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory frameworks

+ Proven ability to influence safety culture and employee engagement
