As a **Senior Quality Engineer** at Honeywell, you will be responsible for driving Quality improvement initiatives. This is a Full time on site position based in Portsmouth.

Work with the existing Quality team and the Development, Operations and Engineering teams to drive Quality improvement initiatives

**Key responsibilities**

+ Take an active role in the support of Production Product Groups , attend daily production Tiered accountability meetings and take responsibility for Quality concerns raised and escalate where appropriate

+ Identify and effect scrap reduction opportunities to meet our goal on COPQ

+ Identify key defect contributors and Apply Six Sigma philosophy and tools to improve RTY and reduce variation and implementing Continuous Improvement opportunities

+ Lead customer complaint investigations using 8D methodology to urgently to resolve customer concerns and communicate findings directly to customer

+ Perform internal company quality audits following the Site scheduled and assist with 3rd party audit coverage hosting external auditors when required

**Key skills and qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science or similar

+ Experience in Quality Operations Auditing, QMS, Continuous Improvement, Knowledge of ISO Standards

+ Experience in production environment

+ Knowledge of sensors / science degree qualification (can be balanced with vocational experience)

+ Exceptional team player with ability to work independently
