**Responsibilities**

The Cardiology Technician is responsible for performing all cardiac diagnostic procedures, primarily: EKG and EKG MUSE Medical entry and records. Cardiology technicians may also be responsible for EEG, treadmill exercise tests, Holter monitoring and scanning, pacemaker analysis and telephonic arrhythmia monitoring.

**Qualifications**

**Required:**

+ An EKG course completion within 30 days of hire is required.

+ Current BLS Healthcare Provider - CT CPRBLS

+ Knowledge of medical terminology

**Preferred:**

+ Preferred graduate of a program for cardiovascular technology or certification from the National Board for Cardiovascular Technology.

+ Completion of basic arrhythmia class preferred. EEGexperience preferred

+ One year experience performing EKG's and treadmill exercise testing in an acute care hospital preferred

**Pay Range**

$30.37 - $37.00 /hour
