**Responsibilities**
In keeping w **i** th the Dignity Health core values supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care. Actively participating member is systems functions and activities of the unit/department. The CNA provides care for and activities of daily living comfort and safety.
**This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.**
**Qualifications**
+ **Minimum Requirements:**
+ Six (6) months recent hospital or long term care facility experience as CNA
+ High school education
+ Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program
+ Nurse Assistant Certification (CT NA)
+ CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
+ Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements. **Special Skills:**
+ Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing clearly concisely and accurately.
+ Ability to utilize and learn new computer programs for documentation
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships
+ Operate IVAC thermometer vital sign check machine blood pressure cuff.
+ Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures
+ Ability to educate family members regarding appropriate activities listed below as indicated by ability of resident and willingness of family
+ Ability to perform care functions that may include but not necessarily be limited to:
+ Ambulation
+ Eating assistance
+ ADLs
+ ROM (AROM & PROM)
+ Bowel and Bladder Training
+ Splint/Brace/Prosthesis placement/care
+ Splint/Brace/Prosthesis placement/care
**Pay Range**
$23.00 - $27.01 /hour
