**Overview**
For more than 70 years Mercy Medical Center Redding has offered comprehensive health care in the North State providing acute care and a full range of medical services. The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. In addition the hospital’s network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living. Mercy Medical Center Redding is a member of the Dignity Health system and is a sister facility to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff and Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta. **Responsibilities**
**Position Summary:**
The incumbent provides support to hospital leadership in regards to Decision Support functions which includes serving as a resource regarding departmental budgeting, service line profitability and
productivity. The incumbent will assist with developing the hospital and departmental budgets which includes, working with leadership to ensure effective budgeting processes meet hospital and corporate
objectives. In addition, the incumbent will provides financial analysis, profitability analysis, performa projections, utilization studies and other information as requested. The incumbent will also develop and
distribute reports related to productivity, operations, product lines, physicians and payor mix information which accurately measure performance objectives.
+ Performs accounting functions for the organization including record keeping and reporting.
+ Performs balance sheet and P&L reconciliations in accordance to company policies.
+ Creates reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
+ Completes special projects as needed.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Previous experience as a Financial Analyst which includes cost benefit analysis and budgeting
+ Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or a related field
+ High level of proficiency with cost analysis and budgeting software systems
+ Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong emphasis in Excel
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Previous experience as a Financial Analyst at an acute care hospital
**Pay Range**
$34.50 - $47.2 /hour
