**Responsibilities**

All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. The Surgical Technician assists the Surgical Team in providing high quality health care to the patient that requires surgical intervention. He/she applies basic knowledge of aseptic technique principles of sterilization and understanding of the purpose and use of instruments.

**Qualifications**

+ Requires a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years scrubbing experience in an acute care hospital.

+ Certification through NBSTSA or NCCT.

+ BLS Basic Life Support

+ Fire Safety Certification

+ Familiar with the different surgical equipment and instrumentation and its functions. Requires close concentration and high degree of accuracy and organization to prepare set up and assists on surgical procedures.

**Preferred**

+ High school graduate

$33.42 - $41.77 /hour
