**Responsibilities**
The Athletic Trainer/ Sports Medicine Coordinator will act as a liaison and care coordinator between the ambulatory clinic and referring schools and providers in the community. They will be the point of contact for sports related injuries that need to be scheduled and evaluated in the Sports Medicine clinic.
The Athletic Trainer/Sports Medicine Coordinator focuses on the prevention, recognition, examination, evaluation, rehabilitation and management of athletic injuries. The ATC provides treatments for an injury that occurs as a result of participation in or preparation for games, sports, recreational activities, or physical fitness activities regardless of the circumstances under which the injury was sustained. Athletic trainers shall serve at ambulatory clinics and at various high school locations within partner school districts and will collaborate with team physicians in the areas of: Injury Prevention and Wellness Protection, Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis, Immediate and Emergency Care, Treatment and Rehabilitation, Organization and Professional Health and Wellbeing.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited athletic training education program (i.e. Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education).
Licensure from the State of Arizona Board of Athletic Training; Certification from the Board of Certification of Athletic Trainers (BOC); BLS.
**Pay Range**
$22.95 - $33.28 /hour
