**Responsibilities**

The Barrow Neuro Analytics Center is a data science-focused research facility that aims to harness the power of big data to advance understanding of neurological diseases and develop new treatments.The Multimodal Imaging Genetics Lab at Barrow Neuro Analytics Center is actively seeking candidates with a strong background in computer programming, signal processing, and medical imaging physics. Our lab focuses on applying advanced bioinformatics and machine learning strategies to integrate multi-modal data for studying the mechanistic basis of brain aging and secondary injury across a spectrum of cerebrovascular, neurodegenerative, and traumatic brain diseases.

This position is designated to support neuroimaging research through deployment of current analytical pipelines on clinical imaging data (MRI CT etc.) development of novel analytical software for MRI and CT (collection reconstruction and analysis/post-processing) and overall support of faculty research. The Imaging Research Specialist works under guidance of the PI but should also be able to work independently. The analyst will manage multi-year biometric data from large research populations and biobanks and work with a team of researchers to support organizing quality control and analyzing MRI and CT scans.

**Qualifications**

Prior employment or training in a research, clinical, or other scientific environment is advantageous.

Experience with MRI or CT neuroimaging data formats and image analysis.

Experience in creating scientific figures; writing technical reports.

Education

BS in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or other related fields.

MS degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or other related fields preferred.

Required:

Must have basic computer systems administration skills.

Must have fundamental knowledge of medical imaging, particularly MRI.

Preferred:

Proficient at computer programming.

Background knowledge of brain anatomy and physiology.

Demonstrated proficiency in Unix shell scripting, and Python programming.

Must have training or experience in both signal processing and medical imaging physics.

**Pay Range**

$27.77 - $40.27 /hour
